The Visualab Lends a Hand to Homestretch

A Brush with Giving Back: Homestretch

Last week, we were privileged to donate our time and effort to Homestretch in Roswell, GA—an organization we truly believe in. In just one afternoon, our team painted the entire interior of a home which soon will be occupied by a family in need. We are proud to have had an ongoing relationship with Homestretch by supporting, through visual communications, many events over the last several years including their annual Run The River 5K/10K.  The need is great and there are many volunteer opportunities available to help make a positive impact in our community. About Homestretch

Temporary Housing, Permanent Solutions

The heart of HomeStretch’s mission is helping homeless families get back on their feet and into permanent, sustainable housing.  This is no small endeavor since many families typically come to us earning salaries at or below the poverty threshold.  Supporting a family at this income level brings much financial hardship; the family cannot make ends meet and inevitably becomes homeless.

HomeStretch gives homeless parents and their children a safe and comfortable place to live while simultaneously helping them address the root causes of their situation and return to a life of self-reliance and stability.  After graduating from HomeStretch, the families have a strong grasp on their finances, have reduced insurmountable debt and have accumulated savings.  Many have even increased their income through job skills training and improved employment.
